Why should I pledge?

By pledging you are helping Onicake bring more sharks, shrimps & orcas into the world! You are also guarantee an incredibly unique bag or plushie with a lower price! But in how seriousness, we rely on backers to help bring these projects into reality and appreciate every backer.

How do I choose which items I want?

At the end of the campaign we will be sending out surveys. The surveys will be sent via email, through the survey every backer will have the opportunity to make their selections on the available options based on your pledge and unlocked items. You will also have the option to add any additional items despite the campaign having already been completed.

When will I be charged for Shipping?

Shipping will be calculated and charged always via BackerKit, but AFTER the campaign is over, some time before we’ll ship the rewards out.

Due to the fluctuating shipping costs, this is to ensure getting the best price on the backers order based on the weight of the package & the country it will be shipping to, this includes domestic (US) & overseas.

Why is international shipping so expensive?

Shipping is based on the size + weight of the package + shipping insurance fees. We are very sorry for the fees, but unfortunately, this is something we have no control over.

What if I moved or change my address after the campaign is over?

You can edit your address through BackerKit at any time you want up until I have the items in hand and am ready to ship them out! I’ll send reminders out to everyone before locking addresses closer to the ship out date.

When will I receive my items? and/or Is this Timeline Accurate?

Please refer to the Timeline in the Story Tab for a breakdown on the Timeline for Bags & Plushies.

Please note that the Timeline is an estimation on when we expect to receive items, please note that there may be delays. We will of course communicate any delays on items as they occur.

Whatever inventory that is leftover after fulfillment will go live on our site. Please note that these items will be posted at a higher price & we cannot guarantee which items & colors will be available.

How does the refund policy work for this campaign?

We do not offer refunds once the campaign ends. Please ensure that you are committed to your pledge. The only exceptions will be orders damaged or lost in the mail, and we will work with you on a solution!

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
